It’s almost here!

Zone-based scheduling means we group farm calls by location on specific days. Instead of crisscrossing a wide service area all day, our veterinarians focus on one zone at a time.  

• Less drive time, more horse time:  By reducing back-and-forth travel, our vets spend more of the day providing care instead of sitting in traffic.
• More appointments available per day:  Efficient routing means we can see more patients in a single zone day, opening up additional appointment slots.
• Better use of the whole team:  When the vets are focused on an area, communication is smoother and the day runs more predictably.
• Improved punctuality:  Shorter distances between farms make arrival times more accurate and reduce delays caused by unexpected traffic or long drives.

• More predictable visit days:  Each Zone is assigned specific days of the week, so you know in advance which days we’re routinely in your area. This makes it easier to plan farrier coordination, training schedules, and your own workday.
• Faster response for non-emergent needs:  Because our days are more efficient, we can often fit in additional same-zone appointments for things like vaccines, rechecks, and minor concerns.
• Better planning for herd health:  Barns can coordinate multiple horses on the same zone day, which often reduces per-horse trip fees and keeps the whole herd on a consistent schedule.
• Clear expectations for urgent calls:  When an urgent but non–life-threatening issue arises, knowing which day we’re in your zone helps us give realistic, honest timeframes for when we can get to you.

True emergencies will always be triaged based on medical urgency first, then location. Zone scheduling does not limit emergency care—it supports it. Because our routine days are more efficient, our vets are better positioned to:

• Break away from the schedule when needed
• Reach critical cases faster
• Return to the day’s route with less disruption

• Dr. Chris Ernst - Wednesdays (9am - 2pm) and Fridays (9am - 12pm)
• Dr. Katie Loewenstine - Thursdays (9am - 2pm)
• Dr. Danielle Benn - Mondays (9am - 5pm) and Fridays (12pm - 5pm)

Zone 2 

• Dr. Chris Ernst - Tuesdays (2pm - 5pm) and Wednesdays (2pm - 5pm)
• Dr. Katie Loewenstine - Fridays (2pm - 5pm)
• Dr. Danielle Benn - Fridays (9am - 12pm)

Zone 3

• Dr. Danielle Benn - Thursdays (12pm - 5pm)

Zone 4
